The Annual Tony Jennings Classic Car Show took place on Sunday 28th July at the BEN Care Centre near Rugby.
Despite the weather being very unkind to us there were over 40 lovely cars on display and our friends at BEN held their own Fete with a range of stalls and refreshments for visitors.
The Fellowship had its own Marquee where 18 fellows and guests enjoyed each other’s company and a buffet lunch. Our thanks go to BEN for supplying the marquee, tables and chairs and also to the team from the AA who erected the marquee.
After careful deliberation the judges chose the following cars, as follows:
Best Car in Show - 1962 Bristol owned by Nick Challacombe
Winner 1900-1960 - 1931 Star Comet owned by Rob and Clare Lisle
Winner 1961-1999 - 1964 Jaguar Mk2 3.4 owned by Dominic Walton
Winners Cups and a bottle of champagne, kindly supplied by Julie Jennings, were presented by Julie and our President Peter Lewis-Jones.
The show is now an established event in the classic car calendar for local owners and we hope to move back to our regular date, the first Sunday in August next year - and benefit from more Summer like weather.
Thanks again for everyone that was involved in “making it happen” and to all the owners that braved the elements to put on a super display of classic cars.
