The sun shone once again for a small but select group of 20 Fellows and guests who gathered at The Walnut Tree in North Petherton for the annual Western & South Wales Luncheon on Wednesday 26 June. Organised by Immediate Past President Tony Ham it was another great occasion with good company, good humour and enjoyable food and wine.
Chairman Brian Spratt extended a warm welcome and also expressed his appreciation on behalf of everyone present to Tony Ham not only for his organisation but also for very kindly providing the wine with lunch.
After lunch the floor was thrown open and stories and anecdotes once again soon started flowing, ensuring a thoroughly enjoyable occasion was had by everyone. The “Welsh contingent, led by Colin Allen were in excellent form with Colin’s splendid humour keeping everybody well entertained
The President organised the raffle once again this year in such a way that most Fellows and their guests won a prize which was greatly appreciated by everyone. A total of £140.00 was raised for the Fellowship’s charitable funds, from 14 contributions that those attending kindly donated.
The Chairman, Brian Spratt closed the luncheon by thanking everyone who attended, especially those who had travelled some considerable distance, and wished everyone a safe journey home.
