For several years the Fellowship of the Motor Industry has sponsored a special Bursary Award for industry apprentices who have successfully overcome numerous personal hurdles during their studies. The Award is made with the assistance of the Institute of the Motor Industry and, this year, was presented at their Annual Dinner at the Intercontinental Hotel on Park Lane.
The 2022 recipient of the Fellowship's Award was Ms. Trinity Hutley, a student at Barnfield College, Luton. As well as the challenge of learning with dyslexia; while working through her Level 1, 2 and 3 qualifications, Trinity was named Student of the Year at Barnfield College. She also acted as a student ambassador and stepped in as the College’s Workshop Technician to support the department and fellow students alike.
The Fellowship's Honorary Secretary, Brian Spratt, was invited to present the Award to Trinity, and is seen here with IMI CEO Steve Nash and compere Nina Hossain of ITV News.
As well as receiving the Fellowship's Bursary of £2,000 in recognition of her dedication and commitment to her career development. Trinity also received the Full-time Student of the Year award, sponsored by Enterprise Rent-a-Car.
